Master Albertus Magnus, Archbishop
of Regensburg, says: "Hidden here are
invaluable treasures, and only those
whom God wishes to reveal them to
know them." Shine in glory, my
Disciple! I have led you to the tenth
degree and you have learned to purify
your concepts, to refine your thoughts
on the true Way. The Phoenix of
Hermes has now transformed into a
Pelican, and soon the veil covering the
Absolute will rise before you!
You now stand, like the Adam Kadmon, in Paradise, in the presence of two
trees: the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge.
The first is the spiritual Way of mystical contemplation; it is analogy,
ecstasy. The other is the path of reasoning, objection, and doubt.
Choose the path that yields the fruits you wish to harvest and beware of all
error.
It is especially dangerous to abandon the Way of the Absolute at this
point, but know, to guide you in your choice, that everything science
teaches us in thousands of books can be acquired through mystical
illumination in a few seconds, because your spirit will grasp the Key to
universal harmony when it confronts the Absolute face to face.
This Key, books will never give you! Reading all that the masters have
written will avail you nothing; if you do not possess it, you will understand
nothing of their language.
Will you be able to overcome the preliminary test of doubt? Pay attention,
your eternal future is at stake. If you succumb, you will never see the light
and remember that the opportunity to be initiated is unique in life. If you
let it slip, it will not recur.
“Request the Light in the very Light,” you cannot obtain it in any other
way.
“Whiten the brass and close the books, lest your heart be torn by worry!”
exclaims the wise Moria.
There are too many books, indeed, and it is energy and will that be often
lacking to polish the Stone.
The Great Work! But, if it is written everywhere — exposed to all eyes, as
clearly as possible, without violating the secret of the Adepts.
You can read it on the right portal of Notre Dame in Paris and on the tower
of Saint-Jacques-la-Boucherie. I have found it isagogically depicted in the
stained glass of the heart of the Madeleine in Troyes and carved in the
palace of the alchemist Jacques Cœur in Bourges.
It is revealed in the Milesian Letters, to the Kois of the Greeks, to the
Pardes, and in the Garden of the Cabalists. "Whiten the brass and close
your books!" Yes, my Disciple, all the Work is here.
Conquer the Urim and the Tumim. Reap the fruit of the tree of the gnostic
Edot; the jewel is within the Lotus!
Remember it and the Universe shall be yours.
